a fortnight ago, went again with P to the morning market where i bought
my green pet.he bought two of this really macho-looking fish.i forgot to take their pics but it looks almost like this though lack of size and coloring.

i wanted to blog about this after that trip but i can't identify the species name.the amoi who sold it told us it was called "ikan naga" a.k.a dragon fish.punyelah google, checked
fish database and scoured thru every freshwater identification books available in the aquaculture group labs but in no avail(bcoz i look into wrong chapter, wrong family summore...duh....actinopterygii my kapla lutut).
lastly, thanx to pirate,i've finally identified it from genus Polypterus.these cool dudes are actually primitive fishes(as in unlike those more evolved fishes, which i guess in layman term should be in the same category as the fish we alwiz eat).
this species is my fave...the congo bichir (
Polypterus congicus).

isn't he a darling?
