maybe i should thaw my heart
i worry about my lack of compassion lately.
i found it easy to turn away salespeople. also include the ones that goes table to table in restaurants collecting charity. where some of my friends will at least donate 5 ringgit for a bookmark, i realized i don't feel comfortable donating that way.
And MJ's death? e~rmmm....*pokes eyes to produce tears but fails*
sorry but i don't understand why you're feeling sad. or why you should ask me why i am not sad. given, he had awesome dance moves. given, he had influenced a lot of artistes even my favourite ones.
but dude, doesn't mean when the guy's dead i suddenly have to be his fan.

i love kids, but i'm glad i don't have any...yet

went out for dinner with my married friends two days ago. we've known each other since our freshman year. one couple is expecting while the other already has a toddler.
the kid had been sleeping but mom and dad had to wake her up because obviously they're not going to leave their child alone in the car. you know how cranky a kid can be when they're disturbed from their sleep. she was wailing and sobbing in the restaurant. and wailing and kicking. and wailing and sobbing. nothing her parents did were able to soothe her until dad brought her back to the car.
i'm not sure what kind of expression i had on my face during the ruckus but the other husband remarked on it.
"i think i know what you're thinking."
"wuh?"
"it's 'i'm so not going to have any kid soon', am i right?"
BINGO.
damn, i'm so transparent.

from the puddle on the floor that is my brain
lack of sleep did a number on my cerebral cortex.
i don't mean to think out loud like that. no boss, what i meant was i'm going to do the 1st part today as in doing the 2nd part of sampling tomorrow. not do ALL tomorrow. that will not bode well with your sense of schedule.
drinking Ribena and eating M&M's on an empty stomach is a big no-no. the sugar rush prompted comments like "you look high" and "somebody hide her Ribena, she's drunk".
it's 2.45am already? it feels like it's still...u~mm....yesterday?...confused.
wherein my world did a 180 degree flip and realligned itself to the sun and moon.

i plead ignorance
This made him launched a "i-can't-believe-you-where-on-earth-have-you-been-didn't-you-read-the news" lecture.
Oh please. I replied. Unless she was featured in Aquaculture or Developmental Biology journals, I have no reason to care about her.
Don't you at least watch tv? He exclaimed.
Well, I do ocasionally. Hey, even my hostel block has ASTRO. But why in sweet heavens MUST. I. WATCH. AF??
I can see that he's getting more livid by the minute. I sorta understood his feelings. It must be how I will feel if somebody criticized L'Arc en Ciel.
Not wanting him to burst a vein, I took the easy way out and tried to placate him. Sorry, I said. It's just that I don't read *cough*tabloid*cough* news much.
THEN, he started another lecture on how "it-is-important-to-read-news-or-you-can't-get-any-job-bcoz-you-don't-even-
know-who-Heliza-is".He even gave me an impromptu quiz on malaysian business+politics. Which yours truly lack in general knowledge.
Double damn...
I can see his point. The world doesn't revolve around things that only I deemed important. Sometimes I need to conform my ideals to the world's expectations. Nevertheless, he don't need to have that wide smirk on his face. ~geram~
And the big question still remains, where does Heliza fit in all this???

radar in repair
damn confusing.

i can't give appropriate responses without the risk of offending you. should i say something comforting? should i offer help in any way? should i leave you alone?
maybe, YOU're the one who should leave me alone...

insects galore
However, I did absorb a thing or two from the slides. I learn that …
-termite colonies can destroy building structures.
-cockroaches eat other cockroaches’ vomit, shit and carcass…eww….
-Malaysia has its share of bed bug infestations in 5 star hotels. It was gross to see pics of the bugs fattened with human blood. Yech...
-virgin bed bugs (male&female) lives longer than their sexually active counterparts…a case of “I-can’t-die-till-I-mate”, I guess….
-ants can carry things 20 times their body weight. And some ants look pretty on screen.
oh look!! there goes a cockroach…dos cucarachas, tres cucarachas…zzzZZzzz…

let's say it together..."Owh...."
Kryptiq,MoZF and me stopped browsing and turned around to look at the sales ah kua who's been following us around since we entered the shop.it's distracting really to look at his/her face.grey contacts, thick mascara and double thick eye-liners.if my self-control wasn't that strong,i would have already stand in front of herm (her+him) and gawked.mebbe poked at the eyeliner to check how much pressure does it take to wipe that thing off.
"teenagers shouldn't wear eye cream since at this age,the skin will be oily and unbalanced.u should try eye serum or gel."
three young adults in their 20++ years looked at each other and harmoniously said,"owh...." while nodding agreeably.a hasty thanx to herm, and three of us retreated out of the place before bursting into laughter.
well,we were at gurney plaza yesterday and both of them have to suffer following me around to buy new perfume for myself.haha...stoopid ah kua.berani kata all of us teenagers.in a way,we are flattered to be told we look way much younger than our real age.but actually for me,i think it's the younger generation who looked much older/matured than us.
1st,it's how they dress.most of my friends my age opt for the comfort of sensible tees and jeans when going out shopping.compared to the fashionable youngsters, they really accessorize.handbags lah,bling-blings lah, chains lah, belts lah...2ndly,cosmetics and make-ups..."excuse me adik, but is that foundation or plaster-of-paris u're wearing?" ,"eh?i dunno dulux have come out a color range for eye-shadows." and how old are these youngsters i'm talking about.mostly still in secondary schools."ala rerama...just say lah u lazy to dress up and wear cosmetics"...well it's true.but think of how many people will say how young i look...kuang kuang kuang...
anyway,i managed to buy the perfume i wanted at the risk of getting locked up in the store during closing time (sorry,gals...won't happen again).oh...and we went to eat at this new place called Food Loft.nice decor and concept.i wish i remember to take some pics to put here.maybe next time.
to kryptiq and MoZF.sorry for the suffering i put u all through.i promise i will prepare my definite shopping list when we went shopping again...but we had a great story-telling time no? hehe....
