i have to admit that i did a lot of tossings. without fail, there's always someone picking them up. i know it's a bit heartless (u~mmm, maybe a lot?). but still, i'm amused by the reactions i get.

would my act be justified if i were to say that it's just my own personal experiment to know how to handle you?

had an absolutely crazy day yesterday. if you were to ask, i would say that i was screwed big time.

but then, after being thrown into the washing machine from hell, went through a thorough wash-rinse-spin procedure, i found out that he actually added softener in the end.

very confusing. but what really confused me was the fact that i did soften up.

yet again.... sigh~*

and yeah, it's not life without a healthy dose of drama in it.

concerned friend : "Rerama! is that a knife sticking out between your shoulders?!?" *gasp*
rerama : *nonchalance* "Oh,that...somebody must've stabbed me on my back."

forgive and forget. i never could grasp the meaning of that expression really. can someone please enlighten me again? coz the more i want to, the more harder it seems for me to do it.

annoying colleague A tried to show off her "fluent english" by correcting my english pronunciation. which by the way, was correct.

how do you correct an already correct thing? and of course, said colleague insists that i'm wrong. hello? i took a university course on pronunciation, missy.

i'm not saying my english is perfect, but i think it's much more better than hers.

-yes. i'm in lab doing work on new years eve.
-yes. i can see fireworks from here. from my room even.
-my new year resolution is to finish my research (and to make that japan trip i'm dreaming about).

anyways, 2008 started good.
the long awaited december pay finally came through.
i've managed to get the USM car sticker. yay!!! security guards won't hassle me anymore.
to top it off, stale choc-coated donuts with heart-shaped sprinkles? they made my day.

1) Where did you begin 2007?
i've forgotten. but if you insist, i think i was in lab doing molecular work. i think.

2) What was your status on Valentine's Day?
single. count the people around me, then it's plural.

3) Were you in school (anytime this year)?
like everyday. duh... am still finishing up my masters. gambatte!!!

4) How did you earn your money?

i tutored undergraduates for 4 semesters which ended sometime during march 2007. then did some research works for my boss up till now. the pay's so-so. oddly, i survived.

5) Did you have to go to the hospital?

well...my sis is a doctor. i went to her workplace to see her. i don't think i went to visit anyone in the hospital also. u~mm wait, does clinics count?? if yes, then i think a few times for the occasional fever i had.

6) Did you have any encounters with the police?

i went to a friend's wedding earlier this month who married a policeman. my uncle's a policeman. i was stopped a few times by the traffic police on the road, but bless my lucky stars, never been summoned this year. of course i've a lot of encounters with the police. *sheepish grin*

7) Where did you go on vacation?
tioman island in april. it was heavenly. then after that, nada. had to finish up my experiments and analyses. sigh~*

8) What did you purchase that was over RM1000?
car maintenance. new tyres, tyre allignments, balancing, engine servicing, etc., etc... bye-bye RM1500++. buhbye my-hard-earned-money.

9) Did you know anybody who got married?
loads. my ex-schoolmates, my ex-colleague, 3 of the fishy peeps,relatives. loads...

10) Did you know anybody who passed away?
fortunately, this year no.

11) Did you move anywhere?

there's this world music festival...

yep. i'm a registered voter. voted previous election too. i'm not really into politics though.

penang. permanent address would be in klang.

friends wishing me a happy birthday. few unexpected presents. i think i did labwork on that day. *lame*

16) What's one thing you thought you'd never do but did in 2007?

vacationing. tis' a very busy year.
owh..also had a big fight with my boss. i mean the emo-kinda fight. really, really emo. argh! embarassing.

17) What has been your unforgettable moment?
again. loads. i'm being vague here. (^_^)

18) What's something you learned about yourself?

i'm a strong woman. sometimes, people around me push me down but i will recover and stand up tall. again, and again. having a loving family and caring friends help, A LOT.

mebbe next year. new brother in-law. heheh.

20) What was your worst month?
i can not actually pinpoint which month. there's sad days and happy days in every month this year. however, judging from my emo scale, october till december 2007 is a very stressful period for me.

came down with chicken pox. "conveniently" i was back home for ayong's engagement tomorrow (ok, i actually had it like 2 days ago while still in penang, but still..). and staying home for recovery is the best thing evah. i mean, which patient has her own doctor and pharmacist (my cousin actually) fussing over her like mine plus my doctor paid for my medications. since relatives were staying at my house, i was pampered. my aunts and uncles kept telling me to rest and practically forbid me to enter the kitchen or help with the preparations or lift a finger. and my cousins were so nice they told me "you just sit and tell us what you want us to do."

i'm a bit guilt-conscious because it's not that i'm terminally ill but it lasted for only a few minutes.

who cares. i'm basking in their attentions. heheh.

i was hungry last night. hungry, but lazy to go out to buy dinner. plus it was raining too.

decided to eat instant noodles. maggi mee goreng perisa pedas asli. yummy.
prepared 2 packets because my stomach convinced me that 1 packet is not going to be enough. but then managed to eat only about half a packet amount of mee.

see? that's why gluttony is a sin.
or did my stomach shrank from the cold?

in the end, the rest of it was thrown into the big black dustbin outside.

moral of the story:
cook one packet of instant noodles at a time eventhough you think you're starving.
